The 2009 Chrysler Sebring is a midsize four-door, five-passenger family sedan, available in Base LX, Limited and Touring trims. It has been an interesting choice in the midsize cars segment. Chrysler Sebring is also offered as a convertible model in soft- and hardtop body styles. The sedan was redesigned two ago. Four-wheel antilock disc brakes are standard now. Stability control is standard on all trims except the Base LX.
Powertrain and performance
A 2.4 Liter 4-cylinder DOHC 16-valve dual Variable Valve Timing engine produces 173 HP and 166 lb-ft torque is standard on all trims (21 city/30 hwy). It is offered with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive option, while convertibles are front-wheel drive only.
Styling
Undeniable looks with fluid lines and a striking chrome grille highlight the 2009 Chrysler Sebring. Its performance is dynamic with the Electronic Stability Program and 30 mpg on highways. 17″ x 7.0″ Aluminum wheels (Limited and Touring) and 6″ x 6.5″ steel wheels with wheel covers (Base LX) are standard.
Supplemental side curtain front and rear air bags, automatic-dimming rear view mirror, power heated mirrors, keyless entry, air conditioning with automatic temperature control, electroluminescent instrument cluster, tortoise shell-style instrument panel bezel, traveler/mini trip computer automatic headlamps, remote start system, heated/cooled front console cup holder, and variable intermittent windshield wipers are key features.
AM/FM Stereo Radio with in-dash 6-Disc DVD/MP3 player, uconnect studios - Sirius Satellite Radio, 6 Boston acoustics speakers, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and 1-Year SIRIUS Radio Service are available.
Safety
Multistage front air bags that deploy different levels of power, depending upon the magnitude of the impact, and reduce occupant air bag exposure are among the important safety equipment. Stability and traction control systems are standard on the Touring and Limited. The energy-absorbing steering column, side curtain airbags and the instrument panel knee blockers are standard and eight-way power driver’s seat are available.
