The 370Z is an all new vehicle for 2009. Nissan claims that 370Z is sculpted, engineered and equipped to takes driving excitement to a whole new level and it is a super evolution.
The 2009 Nissan 370Z is a two-door, two-passenger coupe, available in two trims - the Base and the Touring. It is also available as a roadster (2009 Nismo 370Z Roadster) which is a part of the exciting family of the Z cars. The 2009 Nissan 370Z comes with a large and powerful engine, nimble handling, and high-quality interior. In the all-new 370Z, the fourth generation of the legendary Nissan VQ V6 engine has been increased to a size of 3.7-liter for massive low-end power.

 

Power and performance

 

The 3.7-liter V6 engine is rated at 332 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard on the 370Z. When equipped with the Sport package, it comes with a SynchroRev Match, which automatically blips the throttle during downshifts, eliminating the need to heel-and-toe downshift. A seven-speed automatic transmission with manual shift mode, paddle shifters, and Downshift Rev Matching is optional on the 2009 Nissan 370Z.

 

The 2009 Nismo 370Z Roadster comes with a 3.7-liter V6 engine good for 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque with Continuously Variable Valve Timing Control System (CVTCS) and Variable Valve Event and Lift (VVEL) on intake valves mated to a SynchroRev Match 6-speed manual transmission.

 

Build and Styling

 

The 2009 Nissan 370Z comes with standard equipment such as eighteen-inch alloy wheels; cruise control; aluminum hood; doors and hatch; body-colored dual power outside mirrors; dual exhaust outlets with finishers; one-touch hatch release; UV-reducing solar glass; keyless ignition and entry; performance summer tires; automatic climate control; high intensity discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon headlights; LED parking lights; LED taillights; an eight-way manual driver seat; and a four-speaker stereo with a CD player, an auxiliary audio jack, and steering-wheel-mounted audio controls.

 

The Touring trim comes with leather and faux suede upholstery; an auto-dimming rearview mirror; power seat adjustments; heated seats; a rear cargo cover; Bluetooth; and an upgraded Bose stereo with six speakers, two subwoofers, an in-dash six-CD/MP3 changer, and satellite radio.

 

A Sport Package comprising Nissan sport brakes – 4-piston opposed aluminum calipers with 14-inch x 1.30-inch vented front discs and 2-piston opposed aluminum calipers with 13.8-inch x 0.80-inch vented rear discs; SynchroRev Match (manual transmission); viscous limited-slip differential (VLSD); 19-inch x 9-inch (front) and 19-inch x 10-inch (rear) 5-spoke RAYS super-lightweight forged alloy wheels; 245/40WR19 (front) and 275/35WR19 (rear) Bridgestone Potenza high-performance tires; front chin spoiler; and a body-colored rear spoiler is optional on both trims.

 

A Navigation Package with Nissan hard drive navigation system with GPS, 7-inch color LCD touch-screen monitor and voice recognition; XM NavTraffic; 9.3 GB music box hard drive for digital music storage and playback; in-dash CompactFlash card reader for MP3/WMA playback; interface system for iPod; and auxiliary audio/video input jacks is available on the Touring trim of the 2009 370Z.

 

The Roadster features a fully automatic convertible top, high-quality dual-layer insulation, available heated and cool seats, XM/Sirius satellite radio, 19-inch super-lightweight wheels and high-performance tires.

 

Safety features

 

The standard safety features on the 2009 Nissan 370Z include six airbags; anti-lock brakes with electronic brake-force distribution and brake assist; electronic traction and stability control; LED brake lights; active head restraint; and tire pressure monitoring system.
